Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland attracts a charming mix of visitors: while the chalet village of Gstaad welcomes famous guests, the smaller neighbouring villages offer attractive options for families with children. In recent years, the centre of Gstaad has developed into the most popular and shortest “shopping mile” in Switzerland.
Over the years, the famous Gstaad Palace has established an excellent reputation for discretion and hospitality, and has always welcomed the most discerning international guests. Situated on a hill above Gstaad, it offers breathtaking views of the majestic Swiss Alps. The 90 tastefully decorated rooms include 15 Junior suites and 8 suites, 2 Tower suites and the most luxurious penthouse suite (with 3 bedrooms) ever built in an alpine resort.
The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards and against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. The Montreux Jazz Festival, which takes place in June/July and features concerts on a variety of stages and parks is very famous.
The Panoramic-Express Golden Pass is a part of the famous Golden Pass Line from Montreux to Lucerne. The golden-colored, elegant trains take passengers from the banks of Lake Geneva via the famous resort town of Gstaad to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland.
The Gruyère region, with its rolling green landscape and the peaks of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, is home to the world-famous Gruyère cheese. The picture-book little medieval town of Gruyères is perched atop a small hill.
Broc - Maison Caillier: The visitor trail provides a complete immersion into the brand, history and products of Cailler of Switzerland. The experience is sensitive, sensual and poetic, giving the visitor a window into the world of chocolate by means of a transparent and sparkling aesthetic.
